2022 Fiba Womens Basketball World Cup

FIBA has announced Basketball Australia and the New South Wales government has won the bid to host the FIBA Womens Basketball World Cup 2022. Following a competitive bid Basketball Australia and the NSW Government were awarded the rights to host the FIBA Womens Basketball World Cup 2022 at Sydney Olympic Park from 22 September to 1 October 2022. The Philippines Japan and Indonesia from August 25 to September 10 2023. The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be the 19th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for national mens basketball teams.

The 19th FIBA Womens Basketball World Cup will take place in Australia matches will be held in Sydney at the iconic Sydney Olympic Park built for the 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games Taking place between September 22 to October 1 2022.

2022 Fiba Womens Basketball World Cup. The competition will take place at Sydney Olympic Park over ten days in September and October 2022 bringing together 144 players representing 12 nations for a 38-game tournament. Australia announced as host of the FIBA Womens Basketball World Cup 2022. The 2022 FIBA Under-17 Womens Basketball World Cup will be an international basketball competition held in Debrecen Hungary.

It is expected that there will be 32 teams in the tournament. The FIBA Womens Basketball World Cup is played every four years. Sixteen national teams will compete in the tournament.
