The next U-12 world championship will be played in 2022. The World Baseball Softball Confederation WBSC today announced the rescheduling of the VI WBSC U-12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan TPE to the summer of 2022 with the exact dates to be announced at a later stage. The event has also been renamed now to be known as the World Cup rather than World Championships. The premier international mens softball event will now take place from 26 November to 4 December in Auckland New Zealand.

The Womens championship will serve as a qualifier into The World Games 2022. Womens softball is one of the 30-plus sports to be featured during the 11-day multi-sport event.
